Casa Rovai is a welcoming family-run B&B located in the historic center of Florence, in a carefully restored ancient residence accessible via stairs. With an intimate atmosphere, it offers rooms with original 16th century frescoes where you can stay alone, as a couple or with your family and two terraces overlooking the internal courtyard. The structure offers an attentive concierge service, as well as a private garage in agreement, cooking classes and the possibility of having breakfast in the own pastry shop.
LOCATION AND TRANSPORT
Casa Rovai is located in the historic district of Santa Croce, a 4-minute walk from the Basilica of the same name. The main tourist attractions of the city, such as Ponte Vecchio, the Uffizi Gallery, Piazza della Signoria, the Duomo and the Accademia Gallery, can be reached with a walk of less than 10 minutes, while the bus line allows you to get to Palazzo Pitti and to the Boboli Gardens in just 13 minutes. The train station is about a 20-minute walk away.
ROOMS
The structure has single, double and triple rooms of different types: on the first floor there are 6 classic-style rooms, characterized by fine period furnishings and ceilings with original 16th century frescoes, on the second floor there are 3 other recently renovated and with a contemporary design. The amenities of all accommodations include memory foam mattresses and pillows, air conditioning, TV with satellite channels, free Wi-Fi and safe. The private bathrooms, internal or external, are equipped with shower, hairdryer and complimentary body products. Some boast a view of the internal courtyard.
SERVICES
Upon arrival, guests can leave their car in the nearby garage by paying a special price. The reception service includes the left-luggage area and concierge services for information and car reservations, guided visits, tours, museums and restaurants. Inside the structure there are two terraces, a cozy living room with TV corner and a bookcase. The comforts offered include free Wi-Fi connection in all spaces, a kettle and mineral water dispenser, the possibility of organizing group cooking courses.
Children: family rooms are available with a cot or extra bed on request, and specific activities for children are also provided.

FOOD
Breakfast is served in the bakery owned by the B&B. The proposal includes freshly baked hot baked goods such as cakes and croissants, jams, honey, nutella, yoghurt, fruit, juices and coffee. On request it is possible to order a breakfast with gluten-free foods for celiacs.
